I contacted Critter Gitters this morning to help me eradicate a huge wasp nest on the front of my house and around the eaves of my roof. They kindly came out a couple of hours later, killed all of the wasps, and sent me a picture of the nests. Now THAT’S service!!! Wouldn’t use anyone else!! Joey Baker was highly recommended by the realtor who sold me my house. I saw what looked like termites, but Joey came right away and identified carpenter ants. I saved some dead ones in a zip lock bag for him to look at. He and his team treated the inside and outside of the house. It only took 2 treatments to get rid of the little critters. Don't do what I did. When they first started trailing out of the wall, I sprayed pesticide on them. Joey let me know to let them trail, otherwise they will go back in and make another colony.

How do I know if I have bed bugs?
Look for: small rust-colored stains on sheets (crushed bugs), tiny dark fecal spots on mattress seams, shed skins, or small cream-colored eggs in mattress folds. Bites alone aren’t reliable — many people don’t react to bed bug bites, and other insects produce similar marks. Physical evidence in the bed is the most reliable indicator.
Do I need to throw away my mattress?
Not usually. A mattress encasement combined with professional treatment is typically sufficient. We’ll assess your specific situation and tell you honestly whether replacement makes sense. Throwing away an untreated mattress can spread bed bugs to other rooms or even outside your home.
How much preparation do I need to do before treatment?
We’ll send a detailed prep sheet. Generally: wash and dry all bedding on high heat, clear floor clutter around beds and upholstered furniture, and vacate the treated rooms for a few hours. The more thoroughly you prep, the better the treatment works.
How long does bed bug treatment take?
Initial treatment takes 2–3 hours depending on the number of rooms. The follow-up visit is about 1 hour. Full elimination — confirmed by zero new signs at the 14-day follow-up — is the goal of our two-visit protocol.
Can bed bugs come back after treatment?
Treatment eliminates the existing population. Re-infestation is possible if the source (used furniture, visiting guests, shared walls) is not addressed. We discuss the likely source of your infestation at every appointment and can advise on prevention strategies for high-risk situations.
