Termite Control in Crockett, Palestine & East Texas

Termites cause more damage to homes in Texas than fires, floods, and tornadoes combined. And most homeowners don’t know they have them until the damage is already done.

Here’s why that happens — termites eat wood from the inside out. By the time you see signs, they’ve usually been working for months, sometimes years. And here’s the part that catches people off guard: homeowners insurance doesn’t cover termite damage. Not a dollar.

Protect Your Home from Termites Before It’s Too Late

East Texas is some of the highest-pressure termite territory in the state. Warm weather, humidity, and plenty of wood — we’ve basically built termite paradise out here.

Subterranean termite colonies can number in the millions, and a single acre of East Texas soil can harbor up to 20 colonies. They have scouts constantly searching for new food sources. When they find your house, they build mud tubes up to it and chew through wood around the clock.

They don’t sleep. They don’t take breaks. They just eat.

The good news: with the right system in place, you can stop them before they ever become a problem — and keep them stopped.

The Two Types of Termite Protection We Offer

Liquid Treatments (Termidor)

We trench around your foundation and apply Termidor HE — a professional-grade termiticide that binds to the soil and creates a continuous treated barrier. Termites can’t detect it. They pass through the treatment zone, pick it up on their bodies, and carry it back to the colony. Through contact with nestmates, it spreads through the entire population and eliminates it.

Where there’s a concrete slab adjacent to the structure, we drill and inject to maintain a continuous barrier with no gaps. This treatment works fast and is particularly effective for active infestations or when you need immediate protection — like during a real estate transaction.

Sentricon Always Active System

Sentricon is the gold standard for ongoing termite protection. We install monitoring stations in the ground around your home at regular intervals — out of sight, no drilling inside, no trenching every few years.

The stations contain bait that termites actually prefer over wood. When scouts find it, they feed on it and share it with the colony. The active ingredient disrupts their molting process. They can’t mature, can’t reproduce, and the colony collapses. The stations stay active year-round, so even after one colony is eliminated, they’re ready to intercept the next one before it ever reaches your house. It’s the system protecting the White House, the Statue of Liberty, and millions of homes across the country.

Why Joey Uses the Termidor HE / Sentricon Combo on His Own Home

Joey has worked with every termite treatment out there — including seven years at Disney World and almost 20 years running Critter Gitters. He’s seen what works and what doesn’t.

He has the Termidor HE / Sentricon combo on his own house. That should tell you something.

The combo approach gives you both immediate protection and ongoing interception. Termidor HE establishes the perimeter barrier now. Sentricon handles continuous monitoring and elimination going forward. No retreatment every few years. No gaps in protection.

It’s not the cheapest option. But it’s the most complete termite protection available — and it’s what Joey recommends for homeowners who want to protect their investment long-term.

How the Termidor HE / Sentricon Combo Works:

Perimeter Treatment — We trench around the outside of the structure and apply Termidor HE to create a continuous treated soil barrier. Where concrete meets the structure, we drill and inject to eliminate any gaps.

Sentricon Station Installation — We place stations in the ground around your home, spaced every 10 feet, just outside the Termidor treatment zone. Installed flush with the ground, out of sight.

Annual Monitoring — We check the stations every year as part of your Elite Plan service visits. If termites find a station and start feeding, we know immediately.

Elimination — The bait disrupts their growth cycle. They can’t molt, can’t mature, and the colony collapses.

Ongoing Protection — Stations stay active year-round. Even after eliminating one colony, they’re ready for the next one.

Termite Inspections & Real Estate Reports (WDI/WDO)

Buying or selling a home? Most lenders require a termite inspection before closing, and most buyers expect one regardless.

We do full Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) reports — also called Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) reports depending on what your lender or agent is asking for. Joey or one of our licensed inspectors will check your entire home: inside, outside, attic, crawlspace. We’re looking for active termites, existing damage, and conditions that make the property vulnerable.

You’ll get a detailed report that meets Texas real estate requirements. If we find something, we’ll give you a treatment quote on the spot. Most inspections are completed within a few days, and reports are delivered fast — because we know closings don’t wait.

Signs You Might Have Termites

  • Mud tubes on your foundation or walls — about the width of a pencil
  • Discarded wings near windows or doors, usually in spring
  • Wood that sounds hollow when you tap it
  • Sagging floors or ceilings
  • Stuck windows or doors from wood warping
  • Bubbling or uneven paint on walls — can indicate moisture from termite activity below
  • Small piles of what looks like sawdust — that’s actually termite droppings

See any of these? Don’t wait. Call us.

Common Questions

Q: Do I need to leave my home during treatment?

A: No. The Termidor HE perimeter treatment and Sentricon installation require no time away from home and no prep work inside. You can be there the whole time.

Q: Is a termite inspection required when buying a home?

A: Not always legally required, but most lenders ask for one and most buyers expect it. Termite damage is common in East Texas and insurance won’t cover it — always inspect before you buy.

Q: How long does the warranty last?

A: Sentricon coverage is ongoing as long as your stations are maintained through annual monitoring visits. Liquid treatments come with a warranty as well — we’ll go over the specifics based on what treatment makes sense for your situation. Warranties are transferable if you sell your home.

Q: What’s included in the Elite Plan?

A: Full Sentricon Always Active system with installation, annual monitoring, and maintenance — built into your quarterly service visits. For Essential or Premium customers, we can add Sentricon separately or do a liquid treatment if that fits your situation better.

Why Termite Protection Matters

The average termite repair costs thousands of dollars, and that’s if you catch it before it becomes a structural problem. Prevention costs a fraction of that. With the Termidor HE and Sentricon combo, you’re getting year-round protection without the hassle and expense of retreatment every few years.

It’s one of the best investments you can make in a home in East Texas.
