Joey Baker was highly recommended by the realtor who sold me my house. I saw what looked like termites, but Joey came right away and identified carpenter ants. I saved some dead ones in a zip lock bag for him to look at. He and his team treated the inside and outside of the house. It only took 2 treatments to get rid of the little critters. Don't do what I did. When they first started trailing out of the wall, I sprayed pesticide on them. Joey let me know to let them trail, otherwise they will go back in and make another colony.

Get Rid of Roaches for Good – Here’s How We Do It
Nobody wants to talk about roaches. But if you’ve got them, you know how fast things can get out of hand.
Here’s the thing – not all roaches are the same. The big ones you see outside? Those are different from the little German roaches that infest kitchens. And that matters because the treatment is completely different.
The Two Types of Roaches We Deal With Around Here
Outdoor Roaches (American, Smokey Brown, Wood, Oriental)
These are the big guys – usually brown or reddish. They live outside in mulch, under leaves, in sewers, under loose bark from dead trees, in wood piles, and around foundations. Sometimes they wander inside attracted to light or looking for water or food, especially when it's hot and dry. These roaches respond well to quarterly treatments and, if need be, habitat modification. We treat the perimeter, entry points,crawl spaces and attics, when needed, and the areas where they're actually living. Most folks don't see them again after we get things dialed in.
German Roaches (The Kitchen Roaches)
The German Roach is by far the most important and usually the most common. In addition to being a nuisance they are responsible for the transmission of a variety of pathogens and allergic reactions. Small, tan, with two dark stripes almost parallel behind the head. These live INSIDE your house but show preference for warm and humid places - usually kitchens and bathrooms until infestations are well established, then they can be found in every room. Females can produce between 4-8 oothecae averaging 30-40 eggs each. They can produce up to 6 generations a year so populations can sky rocket quickly. Due to their rapid reproductive rates German roaches require a totally different approach than regular service. At least 95% of the population must be eliminated on the initial clean-out service for a quarterly maintenance program to work. The initial treatment requires different products with different modes of action than our regular quarterly service. The initial service is intensive, can takes multiple visits, and requires some prep work on your end. But it works.
How Our Roach Treatments Work
For outdoor roaches, we’re looking at where they’re coming from. Are they breeding in the
mulch? Getting in through gaps around pipes? Living under the deck? Coming from sewer
pipes?
We treat those areas specifically. Outside perimeter treatments, Crack and crevice work.
Targeted applications. Habitat Modification suggestions, Not just spraying baseboards and
calling it done.
For German roaches, we use a combination of baits, insect growth regulators, and non repellant
residual products. We rotate products so they don’t build resistance. And we work with you on
sanitation – because even the best treatment won’t work if there’s accessible food, water and
harborage.
What to Expect During Treatment
First visit, Joey or one of our techs will actually look around and figure out what you’re dealing with. We’ll check under sinks, behind appliances, in cabinets – the spots where roaches hide during the day.
Then we’ll walk you through the plan. If it’s outdoor roaches, pretty straightforward. If it’s German roaches, we’ll be honest – it takes time and teamwork.
German Roach Clean-Out: Why It’s Different
This isn’t a one-and-done situation. German roaches are “thigmotactic” meaning they like tight
places where their bodies are touching surfaces such as cracks and crevices, behind outlet
covers. Inside appliances. In the motor of your refrigerator.
Our clean-out process includes:
Initial inspection to map out the infestation
Vacuum all live adults found in appliances , cabinets and other hiding places
Strategic treatment with a non repellant insecticide combined with a growth regulator
If needed a Follow-up visit (usually 3-4 over several weeks)
Monitoring to make sure they're actually gone
You’ll need to prep before each visit – pulling appliances out, clearing counters, possibly
removing items from cabinets. We’ll give you a checklist. It’s extra work, but it’s the only way to
really win against German roaches.
Keeping Roaches from Coming Back
German and outdoor roaches, regular quarterly serOnce the clean out protocol is completed
and the issue is solved, maintenance is key. For vice is recommended.
We’ll also talk through the conditions that attract them. Moisture problems. Lighting.
Clutter. Gaps around pipes. Sometimes fixing those things makes a bigger difference than any
chemical.
What’s Included in Your Service Plan
Essential Plan covers outdoor roaches with quarterly treatments. That works for most homes around Crockett, Grapeland, Palestine, and the surrounding areas.
German Roach Clean-Out is a separate service – not included in the regular plans because it requires way more time and product. We’ll quote that separately based on what we’re seeing.

If you’ve got outdoor roaches, we can usually get control pretty fast. You might see one here
and there, especially after heavy rain or extended dry period, but it shouldn’t be a recurring
problem.
German roaches? Those can take longer depending on how established the population is and
the living conditions. We have extensive training and experience dealing with german roaches.
