SPIDER CONTROL SERVICES IN EAST TEXAS

Stop Spiders from Taking Over Your Home
Spiders in East Texas are just part of life. But that doesn’t mean you have to share your house
with them.
Most spiders around here are harmless – just annoying. But we’ve also got black widows and
brown recluse, and those you definitely don’t want hanging around.

The Spiders We See Most in Houston, Trinity & Anderson Counties

Wolf Spiders

Big, hairy, fast. They hunt on the ground and sometimes wander inside. Not dangerous, but they'll scare the daylights out of you when one runs across the floor at night.

Black Widows

Shiny black with a red hourglass marking. They like dark, undisturbed spots – woodpiles, storage sheds, under decks. Bites are rare but serious. We take these seriously.

Orb Weavers

The ones that build those huge webs between trees, on your porch, across your walkway. They're actually beneficial (eat mosquitoes and flies), but nobody wants to walk face-first into a web every morning.

Brown Recluse

Tan or brown with a violin-shaped marking on the back. They hide in closets, attics, storage boxes. Most bites happen when people accidentally disturb them. These are the ones we're most concerned about.

Jumping Spiders

Little guys that hop around. Harmless and kind of cute, honestly. But if you don't want any spiders,
we'll handle them too.

Why You Keep Seeing Spiders (And How We Stop Them)

Spiders don’t just show up randomly. They’re following food – other bugs. If you’ve got a lot of spiders, you’ve probably got a lot of insects they’re feeding on. That’s why our approach starts with reducing their food source. We treat for the ants, flies, crickets, and other bugs that attract spiders in the first place. Then we target the spiders directly – hitting their hiding spots, removing webs, and treating entry points so new ones don’t move in.

Our Spider Treatment Process

Outside First

Most spiders live outside and just wander in. We treat around the foundation, under eaves, around windows and doors, in the garage, under decks – anywhere spiders hang out.

We knock down webs and egg sacs. Hit cracks and crevices where they hide during the day. Treat the areas where they’re actually living, not just where you’re seeing them.

Inside When Needed

If you’re seeing spiders inside regularly, we’ll treat baseboards, corners, closets, and other areas where they hide. We use products that create a barrier so spiders pick up the treatment when they cross it.

For brown recluse or black widow problems, we get more targeted – treating attics, storage areas, and the specific spots where they’re nesting.

Web and Nest Removal

Part of every treatment. We’re not just spraying and leaving webs everywhere. We knock them down, remove egg sacs, and clean up the mess.

On the Essential Plan, we remove webs and wasp nests up to 15 feet. Premium Plan goes up to 30 feet (gets those second-story eaves).

What About Those Dangerous Spiders?

If you’ve got black widows or brown recluse, we approach it differently. These need targeted treatments in the areas where they’re actually living – not just a general spray.

We’ll do a thorough inspection first. Find out where they’re hiding. Then treat those specific areas with products that work on these species.

And we’ll talk about prevention – sealing entry points, reducing clutter, dealing with conducive conditions. Because even the best treatment won’t last if your property is attracting them.

How Often Do You Need Spider Control?

Due to the way spiders are built, they are not easily controlled with general pest services.
Spiders do not clean themselves and have very little surface area in contact with treated
surfaces. When contacted directly with insecticides they will usually die, but those that contact
dried insecticide deposits on surfaces may be able to survive.
Quarterly service works for most homes, but if you have a low spider threshold monthly service
is recommended during the warmer active months. Otherwise the treatments included in all our
plans – Essential, Premium, and Elite will be effective.
But here’s the reality – you’ll probably see some spiders between treatments. Especially in the
fall when they’re looking for places to spend the winter. That’s normal.
If you’re seeing a lot of spiders between visits, give us a call, we can increase your treatment
frequency to take care of the issue as well as look for conducive conditions and harborage.

Reducing Spiders Around Your Property (What You Can Do)

We'll handle the treatment side, but a few things help keep numbers down:

Keep vegetation trimmed back from the house. Spiders love hanging out in bushes right next to the foundation.

Reduce outdoor lighting or switch to yellow bulbs. Lights attract insects, insects attract spiders.

Clear out storage areas. Spiders love undisturbed cardboard boxes, old blankets, piles of stuff.

Seal gaps around windows, doors, and pipes. Makes it harder for them to get inside.

Spider Control Across Our Service Areas

Whether you’re in Crockett, Palestine, Huntsville, Conroe, or anywhere else we service, spiders are pretty much the same. What changes is the conditions – if you’re near the lake, you’ll probably see more. If you’ve got woods around your property, same thing. We adjust treatments based on what we’re seeing at your specific location. Not the same spray-and-pray approach everywhere.

What’s Included in Your Plan

All three of our plans (Essential, Premium, Elite) include spider control with quarterly treatments.
Depending on your threshold additional summer treatments can be added. It’s one of the core
pests we handle on every visit.
