MOSQUITO CONTROL IN CROCKETT, PALESTINE & EAST TEXAS

Mosquito Duo Defense – Take Back Your Yard
Look, mosquitoes in East Texas aren’t just annoying. They’re relentless. And if you’ve tried
those big box store foggers or citronella candles, you already know they don’t really work.
We get it. You want to enjoy your deck without getting eaten alive. Your kids should be able to
play outside without coming in covered in bites.

How We Actually Reduce Mosquitoes

The In2Care system is pretty cool, actually. Mosquitoes are attracted to the station, They
deposit their eggs in the stations as well as pick up a biological agent, and carry it back to
breeding sites killing that mosquito and any mosquito that comes in contact with the biological
agent. They basically do our job for us. The stations also have a larvicide in them that
will kill the juvenile mosquito larvae before they mature into adults .
Combined with monthly barrier treatments around your property, we’re hitting them from both
angles – killing adults and stopping the next generation before they even hatch.

What Happens During a Mosquito Treatment

First Visit – The Setup

We walk your property and identify problem areas. Where are mosquitoes resting during the day? Where's standing water? Where are the bushes and shaded areas they love?

Then we place In2Care stations strategically around your yard. These aren't traps – they're breeding site eliminators. Mosquitoes are attracted to them, land on them, and pick up the biological control agent.

We also apply barrier treatment to vegetation, under decks, around the foundation – anywhere mosquitoes hang out waiting for their next meal (you).

Monthly Maintenance – April Through October

We come back every month during mosquito season. Refresh the barrier treatment. Check and maintain the In2Care stations. Adjust our approach based on what we're seeing.

Some months are worse than others. After heavy rain, mosquito populations explode. We adapt.

Why Monthly Treatments Matter for Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes breed fast. Really fast. One female can lay hundreds of eggs, and they go from egg to biting adult in about a week.

A single treatment might give you relief for a couple weeks, but then the next generation hatches and you’re back to square one.

Monthly treatments keep constant pressure on populations. You’re not just killing the adults – you’re stopping the breeding cycle.

What to Expect After Treatment

You’ll notice fewer mosquitoes within a day or two of the first treatment. Barrier treatments work fast.

But here’s the reality – we can’t eliminate every single mosquito. If your neighbor has a birdbath they never change, or there’s a creek behind your house, you’ll still see some.

The goal is to make your yard usable again. Most customers tell us they can finally enjoy their patio, let the kids play outside, and have people over without everyone getting swarmed.

That’s success in our book.

Standing Water – The Biggest Mosquito Magnet

Mosquitoes need water to breed. Even tiny amounts – a bottle cap full of water can produce dozens of mosquitoes.

We’ll point out problem areas during the inspection:

Clogged gutters

Flower pot saucers

Old tires or containers

Low spots in the yard that hold water

Bird baths that don't get changed

Fixing these makes our treatments way more effective. We can treat all day, but if you’ve got prime breeding habitat, mosquitoes will keep coming back.

Different Mosquitoes, Same Problem

Asian Tiger Mosquitoes

Aggressive daytime biters with black and white stripes. These are the ones attacking you while you're trying to mow the lawn or work in the garden.

Southern House Mosquitoes

Active at dawn and dusk. The ones that ruin your evening barbecue.

Both species breed in standing water. Both respond to our treatment approach. We don't need to identify which species you have – we're hitting all of them.

Mosquito Control Near Lakes and Wooded Areas

If you’re near Lake Livingston, Lake Conroe, or you’ve got woods around your property, mosquito pressure is higher. That’s just reality.

We adjust treatment frequency and product placement based on your property conditions. A lakefront home needs different coverage than a subdivision lot.

Been treating properties across Trinity County, Montgomery County, and everywhere in between. We know what works in different environments.

Bundle and Save on Mosquito Treatment

Add Mosquito Duo Defense to any of our pest control plans (Essential, Premium, or Elite) and save 10%.

Makes sense to bundle – we’re already coming out quarterly for pest control, so adding monthly mosquito service during the season is easy.

New customers get $50 off the initial mosquito treatment. That covers the setup and first barrier application.

When to Start (and Stop) Mosquito Service

Mosquito season in East Texas typically runs April through October. Some years they start earlier if we have a warm spring. Some years they hang around into November.

We’ll work with you on scheduling. Start when mosquitoes become a problem, stop when they’re gone for the season.

Most customers run service from May through September – the worst months.

Can You Just Treat Once for an Event?

Yep. If you’re having a wedding, graduation party, or big outdoor event, we can do a one-time treatment a day or two before.

It’ll knock down the mosquito population for your event. Just know that it’s temporary – within a week or two, they’ll be back unless you’re on a regular program.

Why Our Mosquito Control Works Better

Most companies use one method – barrier spray OR larvicide. We use both.

That's the "Duo Defense" part. Hit adults with barrier treatment. Hit breeding sites with In2Care. Attack the problem from both angles.

Joey learned this approach during his time at Disney – where mosquito control absolutely has to work. No guest wants to get eaten alive at the Magic Kingdom.

He brought that same philosophy to Critter Gitters. Two-pronged approach. Science-based products. Consistent application.

Getting Started with Mosquito Control

Call us at (936) 546-7493 or send a message. We’ll come out and assess your property – usually takes about 15-20 minutes.

We’ll give you a quote based on your property size and conditions. Get you scheduled for that first treatment. And get you enjoying your yard again.

No long-term contract required for mosquito service. Most customers just run it during the season and stop when it cools off.
