I contacted Critter Gitters this morning to help me eradicate a huge wasp nest on the front of my house and around the eaves of my roof. They kindly came out a couple of hours later, killed all of the wasps, and sent me a picture of the nests. Now THAT’S service!!! Wouldn’t use anyone else!! Joey Baker was highly recommended by the realtor who sold me my house. I saw what looked like termites, but Joey came right away and identified carpenter ants. I saved some dead ones in a zip lock bag for him to look at. He and his team treated the inside and outside of the house. It only took 2 treatments to get rid of the little critters. Don't do what I did. When they first started trailing out of the wall, I sprayed pesticide on them. Joey let me know to let them trail, otherwise they will go back in and make another colony.

Montgomery County’s the southern edge of our service area. The Woodlands, Conroe, Willis, Lake Conroe, Montgomery, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North – we cover it all.
It’s a bit of a drive from Crockett, but we’ve built a solid customer base down here over the years. Good folks, nice properties, and plenty of pest challenges to keep us busy.
What Makes Montgomery County Different
Montgomery County’s got a mix of everything. Established neighborhoods, newer developments, lake properties, and areas that still feel rural even though they’re close to The Woodlands or Conroe.
Pest pressure here can be intense. Heavy vegetation. High humidity. Older trees. Neighborhoods built in areas that used to be woods. All conditions that pests love.
Common Pest Issues in Montgomery County
Mosquitoes
This is probably the number one complaint we hear. All the trees and landscaping look great, but mosquitoes thrive in the shade and humidity. You can't enjoy your yard from April through October without treatment.
Termites
Montgomery County has serious termite activity. Subterranean termites are everywhere, and Formosan termites are becoming more common. We do a lot of Sentricon installations down here.
Fire Ants
They're persistent. We treat them as part of Premium and Elite plans, but expect to see new mounds pop up throughout the year. Ongoing treatment keeps them manageable.
Roaches
Both kinds. The big outdoor roaches (American, wood, oriental) and German roaches in kitchens. Different treatments for each. We'll diagnose which you've got and treat accordingly.

Black widows, brown recluse, wolf spiders, orb weavers. All common around Montgomery County. We treat them with quarterly service and targeted applications when needed.
Rodents and Wildlife
Rats, mice, squirrels, raccoons. Especially in areas near wooded lots or golf courses. We trap and exclude to keep them out of attics and living spaces.
Our Service Plans
Essential Plan – Quarterly treatments for ants, roaches, spiders, crickets, and other everyday pests. Interior and exterior. Web and wasp removal up to 15 feet. If covered pests come back between visits, so do we – guaranteed.
Premium Plan – Essential plus rodent bait stations, fire ant treatment up to 20,000 sq ft, and wasp removal up to 30 feet. Better for larger properties or areas with persistent pest pressure.
Elite Plan – Full protection. Premium plus Sentricon termite monitoring and carpenter ant treatment. For homeowners who want complete coverage and peace of mind.
Bundle mosquito control or lawn services with any plan and save 10%. And honestly, around Montgomery County, most folks end up adding mosquitoes because it’s the only way to actually use outdoor space during summer.
What to Expect from Service
First visit, we inspect thoroughly. Look at pest activity, entry points, conditions that are attracting them. Then we recommend a plan based on what your specific property needs – not just a one-size-fits-all package.
Treatments are comprehensive. We treat the perimeter, all entry points, inside when needed. Remove webs and wasp nests. Focus on problem areas, not just running through a checklist.
